A Shield Or A Tool?

Many times during a heated argument, the following words might just lash out without having any second thought when we tend to be at the losing side

“So what? That’s just me and what can I do about it?”

Well I guess that are still tons of things that we CAN do about it, but most of the time, we’ve decided to take the easy way out by “accepting who we really are.”

However, is it really a genuine acceptance and by doing so, will it really make us a happier person at the end of the day?

A happier person perhaps, but definitely not a better one.

                                                          *******

SELF ACCEPTANCE IS A DOUBLE EDGED SWORD

                                              USE IT AS A SHIELD

YOU ARE THE ONLY HAPPY SOUL ACCEPTING WHO YOU ARE

                                                 USE IT AS A TOOL

MANY HAPPY SOULS WILL GLADLY ACCEPT WHO YOU REALLY ARE

                                                         *******

“Often, it’s not about becoming a new person,
                                          but becoming the person
you were meant to be, and already are,
but don’t know how to be.”

― Heath L. Buckmaster, Box of Hair: A Fairy Tale

Only when we have truly accepted who we really are will there be rooms for us to change for the better and to become a happier person for ourselves, our loved ones, strangers and perhaps even enemies.

Have a great day exploring your lovely inner self!

Till then,

Cheers & TTFN ~ 😉

  1. While reading this wonderful and inspiring post yours it felt like dejavu. My next post is similar to this one, only in different words. So I did read it with a big smile. Just another confirmation that we really need to accept ourselves first in order to be happy! 🙂 Thank you very much for sharing and I wish you a wonderful and happy evening!

    1. Wow! Can’t wait to read your next post, my friend! (High 5!) 😆
Am writing this post as a reminder for myself and so happy that you’ve shared your smile with me in this lovely comment.

Have a wonderful day ahead, always! Cheers! ☺

  2. Accepting ourselves as we are can lead to stagnation. We have to accept ourselves, but also realistically look out for ways to adjust, to change or to break some bad habits, look for areas to grow mentally and bodily. We have so many disastrous diseases, so many very sick people, and this comes from following the crowd and just flowing with the stream and also just accepting everything as is and not wanting to change a thing. Accepting oneself is to realistically access the state of our mental and physical capabilities and abilities and to identify the spots which require correction. Every human has some weakness, and we just cannot let these weaknesses control our lives. The most important thing about acceptance should be opening our eyes to potential ways and paths of growth, to realize what our contribution to a better life could be.
The goal of my post “New blog, who knows it exists?” was to direct people to this blog while most people just clicked on like. I do realize not everybody has time to read a line, it’s just so that I thought the heading and the first line already suggested what this was about. WordPress doesn’t allow to have 2 primary blogs, most people read nothing, just look at some pictures, so I tried to personally invite everybody to have a look at http://inesepogalifeschool.com/
Yet, this had very little results again since managing participation and presence in all media and in so many internet sites has resulted in extremely superficial and attention lacking approach.

    1. Awww…thank you so much for reading this post and taking your precious time in penning down your thoughts.
There are so many blogs to read and yet so little time for one to read them all. I am sure as time goes by, you will have a group of lovely souls who truly take the interest in every word you share. It is not the number of followers that counts, but the hearts.

All the best to you in everything you do, my friend.

Have a great week ahead, always! Cheers! ☺
